Optional pre-season dryland workouts start tomorrow morning at Jones and will run from 6-7 a.m. with shower facilities open afterward. These workouts will run every Tuesday and Thursday morning for the next 3 weeks. The main reason I am doing dryland as opposed to in water workouts is that many athletes are already with club teams, and dryland provides additional strength and conditioning for all athletes.
Also, I plan to run optional morning in water practices over the next 3 Sundays for any athlete that would like to get a little more work in. These will also be held at Jones and will run from 8:30-10:00 a.m. While all of these workouts are optional, I do encourage anyone that is looking to come out for the team and feels as though they may be out of shape to try to make a few of them. It is a great way to shake off some of the rust and also prepare for November 20th. As for the information covered at the meetings, here is a brief rundown for all potential Jones-Payton Swimmers.
